Still So Powerful

As I watched this clip of the Prophet, I realized that no matter how much time passes his words are still so powerful. As every Prophet that has been on this earth, he has been an inspiration to me throughout different stages of my life. I have watched this video over and over again since I found it and wanted to share it with my friends. It brought lumps in my throat and tears to my eyes and sometimes lowering my head for maybe not listening as closely as I should at times. I still love President Hinckley dearly and miss him. Somehow, I never felt judged my him. I seem to always think people are judging me or criticizing but he is one of the few people who I actually felt was talking to me personally as my friend. He loved everyone just has God does and I hope one day I will gain just as much of that unconditional love.

Shedding a tear, I read this quote by President Gordon B. Hinckley. His words made me want to be a better person. And I know I can be.

"There are many out there who plead and pray for help. There are those who are discouraged, those who are beset by poor health and challenges of life which leave them in despair. I’ve always believed in the truth of the words, ‘God’s sweetest blessings always go by hands that serve him here below.’ Let us have ready hands, clean hands, and willing hands, that we may participate in providing what our Heavenly Father would have others receive from Him.” -Gordon B. Hinckley
