So I didn't go to California and Vegas. There was just too much going on and I decided to go to North Carolina instead. I was able to visit my mom, her new puppy Baylee and my brother's fiancee, Kelli. We had an absolute blast. From all the work I have been doing the last few weeks and not having a break in a while, this trip was definitely a needed one and well deserved if I say so myself. I left on Friday morning at 910. I flew to Las Vegas where I was supposed to stay on the plane and wait for the new passengers to board for our next destination.. JFK. Well.... as we know, it doesn't always work that way. We had to get off and wait for another half hour because of maintenance problems. Scary. I know. Anyways, so I then made my almost 5 hour flight to JFK where I realized I have a 3 1/2 hour layover. Apparently, my itinerary was harder than I thought to comprehend because I only thought it was going to be an hour but I didn't add in the time difference so yeah.. that was a nice surprise. I sat there waiting for my flight to leave and finally at 900 we took off for NC and landed at 1130. It was nice to be "home" but so exhausted. On Saturday my mom and I went to Red Robin and did a lot of shopping. Then we picked up one of the little girls in her preschool Emma. She is 6and we just love her to pieces. We went and got some pizza and then went to Fun Fun Fun. We played games, got tickets, played laser tag and let her pick out what she wanted to "buy" with her tickets. I will say that I had a lot of fun. More than I expected. Sunday morning Kelli came over and we headed off to Wrightsville. There we went to the beach then got a hotel to settle into. We got some dinner and relaxed for a while. We were on the bottom floor and by 5 or 6 pm the weather had dropped to about 50 degrees. The hotel pool was right outside of our hotel so Kelli and mom dared me to jump into the pool since I since had my bathing suit on. It was freezing but I did it anyway. NEVER turn down a dare. Monday morning we went again to the beach. It was a lot warmer that day than Sunday. We took pictures and played with Baylee. We got some lunch and went shopping where I spent WAY too much money. They have this shopping center that you can just walk from store to store. We just laughed and took alot of pictures. We then drove to Raleigh so I could get my ipod fixed. We got some ice cream, went to Barnes and Noble and got myself a new ipod. Our ride home was so tiring and we were all beat. We dropped Kelli off and headed home to crash. The next day I had to leave. I was so sad. I had such a good vacation and I was so bummed to go. I flew into SLC at 1115 (35 minutes early) so I had to wait for Eric to pick me up. What a trooper he was to pick me up at midnight.. lol I got home and before changing into my PJ's collapsed on my bed and slept as much as I could before work the next day. I wasn't as tired at work as I was when I got home. I laid around all day and I'll embarrassingly make it known that my stuff is still laying everywhere...unpacked. I had the most fun though and I'm glad I chose to go to NC. Us girls bonded so much. California and Vegas would have been a lot of fun but I believe there was a reason it worked for me to go back to NC.
Today I went onto MSN and read my horoscope. I never read them on a daily basis but I "stumbled" upon it today and I'm glad I did. There is nothing like a positive quote to get your day going. This is what it said.
"Delight in all your projects today, dear Pisces. You should enjoy a positive mood and pleasurable experiences with others. Let the good times roll. Your ego and inner emotions should be acting harmoniously. You have every reason to smile, so keep on grinning from ear to ear. You are able to get a lot accomplished if you choose. Adjust your compass, check the prevailing winds, and set sail."
Pics coming soon. As soon as I stop being lazy. Don't hold your breath

Ash! I love you so much and I'm SO happy you got to come visit! I had such a good time laughing with you and your mom ! good times :) I know there's plenty more of that in our future ... oh and just so you know, baylee has gas ;) hahaha
I guess that I'm not the only one arriving "home" recently. There's no place like home away from home, is there?
Glad to hear that you had a safe journey, but alas, I fear that the real reason you didn't go to California was that you were too scared of taking pictures in your swimsuit :)
And no worries, I won't ask why you moved to Utah...no ma'am, silent on the matter.
I wish I could have gone with you to visit NC! I miss it! and all those good times we had. glad to here you had a great vaca!
That sounds like so much fun!!! I bet you and Kelli have a lot of fun together. You are both such cute girls.
