Being Grateful

So Brock Cabinets is where I currently work and have been for the last 2 years. Since I started working in Oct 2005 I have got up $3.50 in pay. I'm a secretary in the Top Shop and like the people I work with real well. Today sucked. HaHa. I went in today at 6 am and got off at 4:30 with NO lunch break. The actual temp was 103 degrees and the heat index was 115 degrees. I do have AC in my office HOWEVER, the door is constantly being opened and the windows are also being opened by guys having questions about things. Since I work in an office inside a warehouse it get very hot even with the AC on full blast! I can't complain too much because those guys work in the heat period. I feel bad for them sometimes and couldn't imagine. I'm really going to miss my job when I leave.

I decided to read the Book of Mormon all the way through again by the end of the year. Impossible? We'll wait and see. On the front of the LDS.org website a quote given by Elder Dallin H. Oaks says in the Nov 2001 Ensign,

"The intensity of our desire to share the gospel is a great indicator of the extent of our personal conversion."

I never though of it that way before. I think I need to find more missionary opportunities. I find myself slacking because sometimes I think I don't have time or I think they may not be ready to hear what I have to say. But really, that's not my call. I've learned that no matter in what situation I may be in or what state of mind I am in, I should always find time in my life to share the gospel. That's why I love reading the Book of Mormon. I can find new references and different way to teach what I know and what I could know more about. It happens every time!

I know that Brock Cabinets will really miss you as well. Cory always said good things about you. I love that quote by Elder Oaks. I read it in the opening of Preach My Gospel (have you read that yet? It's wonderful!) Anyways...I think you can definitely finish by the end of the year. I just finished it myself. I try to read it at least once a year. You are such an amazing girl Ashlie! The only thing is the more I get to know you the sadder I am that you and Logan didn't work out. :)
